Dr. Prafulla Kabra has secured Rank 568in AIPGMEE 2015 which was held in November 2014 and its results were declared on 15th January 2015.. He has done his MBBS from GMC, Akola.


Q. In what year did you pass out your MBBS (Completion of Internship)?

Ans. 2012

Q. What were your MBBS percentage marks (aggregate or final year) ?

Ans. 60%

Q. What ranks had you secured in any previous PG medical entrance exams you gave?

Ans.Rank5413 in AIPGMEE 2014.

Could you please tell us something about yourself?

Q. What is the secret of your success?

Ans.Persistence gets you farther than brilliance….be consistent in study…I feel we should not miss single day of PGpreparation.

Q. How was your internship?

Ans. Icould not study during my internship.

Q. When did you seriously start preparing for the entrance exam?

Ans.since 2013.

Q. How many hours did you study each day?

Ans.14 hrs a day.

Q. Which books did you read for the theory part?


Q. Which books did you read for MCQs revision? Which revision books were the most productive and which were least?

Ans. All Arvind Arora books AIPG/ AIIMS/DNBvolumes/NBE volume/JIPMER

Q. Which subjects did you focus on?

Ans.1st & 2nd yr & surgery.

Q. What were your study methods? How many revisions did you do for each subject?

Ans.4 times.

Q. What was your strategy for the exam day? How many questions did you attempt and why?

Ans. Ihave attempted 296 question andleft 4 value based question.

Q. Did you join any classes or test series? Was it useful?

Ans. Ihave joined test series WRITTEN SW + GT BHATIA & ONLINE Grand test Of DAMS.

Q. In which field do you want to specialize in? why?

Ans. Radiology. I m passionate about radio.

Q. What is your advice to future aspirants? looking at new pattern of MCQ. I would suggest target to solve 1 lakh MCQduring pg preparation..solve all examsMCQ.

Q. Indian PG entrances are highly competitive, so to crack them students end up in appearing for multiple PG exams with some of them having same exam with different slots and papers , please extend your views on this and their pros and cons of appearing in multiple PG entrances.

Ans. Yeah it’s very important to have single day exam…even I don’t how this scaling system is.
