UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC) has posted an advertisement for recruitment of doctors for the posts of Specialist Grade-III (Medicine), Specialist Grade-III (Obst & Gynae), Specialist Grade-III (Ophthalmology), Specialist Grade-III (Radio-diagnosis) and General Duty Medical Officer.


Specialist Grade-III (Medicine) – 5 UR, 5 OBC, 3 SC, 2 ST. Total – 15 posts
Specialist Grade-III (Obst & Gynae) – 1 UR and 1 SC. Total – 2 posts
Specialist Grade-III (Ophthalmology) – 1 UR, 4 OBC & 1 ST. Total – 6 posts
Specialist Grade-III (Radio-diagnosis) – 5 OBC, 2 SC & 1 ST. Total – 8 posts
General Duty Medical Officer – 48 UR, 26 OBC, 16 SC, 17 ST & 11 PH. Total – 107 posts.


Specialist Grade-III (Medicine), Specialist Grade-III (Obst & Gynae) & Specialist Grade-III (Radio-diagnosis):  Rs.15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay Rs. 6600/-(Grade pay) plus NPA excluding HRA and CCA (Total emoluments initially will be Rs. 69,780/- p.m. approximately)
Specialist Grade-III (Ophthalmology) – Rs.15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay Rs. 6600/-(Grade pay) plus NPA as admissible.
General Duty Medical Officer –  Rs. 15,600-39,100 ( PB-3) plus Rs. 5400 (Grade Pay), NPA not admissible. (Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 55,142/-p.m. (with conveyance allowance by car approximately).


Specialist Grade-III (Medicine) – MBBS plus MD Medicine degree
Specialist Grade-III (Obst & Gynae) – MBBS plus MD/ MS Obstetrics & Gynaecology or DGO
Specialist Grade-III (Ophthalmology) – MBBS plus MS Ophthalmology or DOMS
Specialist Grade-III (Radio-diagnosis) – MBBS plus MD Radio-diagnosis or DMRD
General Duty Medical Officer – MBBS
